Confirmed: Eastmond makes Blues switch

WANDERERS have confirmed Arsenal youngster Craig Eastmond has joined the club on loan until the end of the season.

Eastmond, who has Champions League experience, told his Twitter followers yesterday that he would be making the switch to Adams Park.

And the news has been officially confirmed by Wanderers today.

The 21-year-old, who started out as a full back before being converted into a midfielder, has played ten matches for the Gunners' first team but hasn't featured since a Carling Cup win over Wigan in November 2010.

He told the Wanderers website: "It's a very good move for me. I just want to play as many games as possible and help Wycombe move up the table.

"I'm always ready for a new challenge, that's what football is all about."

Blues boss Gary Waddock said: "He's got all the right qualities. He's joining us from one of the best clubs in England and I'm delighted that we've been able to add him to the group.

"He's hungry to develop as a player and hopefully we'll give him the perfect platform to do that."

He will wear the number four shirt during his stint at Adams Park.
