TWO former Wanderers players have been shortlisted for Football League Player of the Year awards.
Matt Phillips is in the running for Young Player of the Year while former loanee Marlon Pack is on the three-man shortlist for the League Two Player of the Year gong.
Winger Phillips started the campaign on the fringes of the Blackpool squad but a loan spell at Sheffield United kick started his season.
The Aylesbury-born youngster scored six goals in seven games for the Blades before becoming a key player for the Seasiders, scoring hat-tricks against Barnsley and Fleetwood Town.
The 20-year-old capped a superb season by receiving his first international call for Scotland, who he qualifies to play for through his grandfather.
Phillips will contest the award with Brighton's Lewis Dunk and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Meanwhile Pack, who had a nine game loan spell at Adams Park in 2009, has been nominated as one of the top players in League Two after helping Cheltenham Town towards a surprise promotion push.
He's up against Swindon Town midfielder Matt Ritchie and Crawley striker Tyrone Barnett, who is now on loan at Peterborough United.
